Kennel up

Our experience began at the airport where we were inundated with Haitians who wanted to help carry our 46 bags of luggage...some wondered how we would all fit in the tap tap.  The bumpy ride was eye opening! We love our Healing Haiti accommodations. The guest house is beautiful. The staff exceptional!

We slept well in our air conditioned rooms and woke up to a big hot breakfast. Not suffering so far! We joined the other thousands of people trying to get someplace today...it is quite the experience and we agreed you have to be here...some on our team were amazed we didn't see any accidents. There was a lot of horn honking. Intersections are something else. Pot holes are cavernous...I won't complain about Co. Rd. E anymore!

We arrived at the home for sick and dying men and women. We gave many, many massages...much appreciated  by all! It was hard and a stretch for most of us but so fulfilling to comfort the sick. Then we travelled with the masses again to go to the orphanage for special needs children. Wow...lots of touch, hug times with these beautiful children. I was fortunate to hold and rock a little boy that promptly fell asleep. He loved this grandma...and I loved him more....hoping I can just squeeze him in my luggage! We all have one or more we want to take home. We also got to shop at a place where they employ Haitians.

After dinner we gathered to share our "word" for the day.
