Today we delivered 3 trucks of water or about 10,500 gallons. City of Soleil is a slum of shanties and loaded with beautiful Haitians that are so much cleaner than you’d expect, thanks to “cake soap” and the pride they take in their appearance. It’s a wild rockous when the water truck arrives as they form a line of buckets until the truck is empty. The kids love attention and affection and the bullies try to budge;
some things are the same no matter the culture. A shower never felt so good!
