Today seems like it was about 48 hours long. We started out our day at Elder school and observed school Haitian style. This school was significantly damaged during the earthquake but across the street 100s of kids lost their lives....a sobering site. We had the privilege of seeing the progress of Jeff and Alyn's beautiful new Grace Village on top of a gorgeous piece of property here in Haiti. It truly is lovely and it will be exciting to see exactly what God has in store for this little jewel. It is amazing and challenging to see the foot print these two have left on this county in five short years.
We also visited Gillian's which is another orphanage for city of Soleil kids. It was the beginning of a career for future graffiti artists of Haiti. What began as rock painting turned into outlining bodies on their brick wall and using every drop of paint to write messages. The boys played a rugged game of soccer and sang and prayed for us in Creole when we came and when we left.
Love their singing!
Tonight we came home and after much needed showers and a yummy supper, we sat down and watched Alyn's memorial service. What a beautiful life lived, loved....broken for Him. How blessed you all have been to know her and what imprint and space she has left behind....
